Packaging meals for the hungry

On July 15, more than 90 people came into Grace Hall and touched the lives of hundreds of children in Haiti. Over 19,000 meals were packaged at our Stop Hunger Now mission event, many of which will be served as hot lunches to Haitian schoolchildren for whom it will be their only meal of the day. That evening we heard from Terry Brown about a second order effect of this program: parents who would otherwise keep their children at home are sending them to school for the meal, but they’re also getting an education and potentially starting to break the cycle of poverty.
