Sunday Morning Adult Offerings
ADULT SUNDAY MORNING CLASSES
- Study: “The God Who Is There” by D. A. Carson – open to any age group Meets 9:15 – 10:15 in room 123 Facilitators – Jack and Jennifer Curtin
“The God Who Is There” is a study of the major themes (in particular redemption) of the Bible from Genesis through Revelation. It’s ideal for seekers, new believers, or people who feel they don’t fully understand the full flow of Scripture, but will also be enlightening for veterans of the faith. We’ll use the DVD series by D. A. Carson with the same title. Dr. Carson is an extraordinary scholar, but also an excellent speaker who has a great ability to bring complex subjects down to earth. Each week we’ll spend about 1/2 an hour watching the DVD and another 1/2 an hour discussing the material as a group. The leader may present a bit each week, but primarily will be facilitating open discussion. This will be an excellent forum for people to get their questions about the faith answered and to interact with others. http://www.amazon.com/dp/0801013720/?tag=thegospcoal-20.
